I could have written a journal entry, but decided to do this instead.

WARNING: I'm angry and this is going to be a rant. I'm sorry if I'll hurt someone's feelings - or actually not. When you hurt my feelings, you kind of give me the right to do the same thing to you. I know it might sound childish, but I don't care anymore.


1) I hate it when I see my art being stolen or used without my permission. It is my art, MINE. I made it. It took me hours and hours to draw and color the picture, and then someone takes it and claims it as their own! That's like stealing an essay from another student in school...

And their excuses?

"Sorry, I didn't know it was you who made the picture."
- What!? Ok, you didn't know the picture was mine. But I'm pretty sure you knew it wasn't yours! So why did you upload it? You didn't know you can't upload stuff you didn't make? Honestly... Do you think we all are here just uploading stuff we found from Google?

"I can't draw!"
- Not to sound rude, but if that's true... What are you doing at an art site? And how does stealing or tracing help you? Maybe you should upload photos or something that is yours. Or practice your drawing skills until you're happy with the results.

"No one likes my pictures. I want to be popular!"
- Seriously... Stealing my art doesn't make anyone like your art. People KNOW it's my art.

But these are the "nice" ones. At least they admit they did something wrong. Usually I don't even bother to talk to art thieves.

(Note: It's ok to use my art as reference. I mean, you can use my picture as a model as long as you're not making the exact copy. But in case you use my picture as reference, it'd be nice if you mentioned it.)


2) Other thing I hate is when people use my characters. They are like my babies. I love them. I designed them, I named them, I made up their stories. Especially I hate to see my Nadra used by other people. Nadra is like me in a lioness form, she represents me. It's a bit awkward and strange to see someone giving her a mate and cubs. I don't have husband or kids, and so doesn't Nadra.

3) I don't know what to call it when people use the colors of my characters in their own characters. But I don't like it. I won't flip out when I see this happening, but I think it's a bit sad... C'mon, is it really so difficult to create your own color scheme for your character? And please, don't call it a coincidence when your character's eyes, coat, nose and tail tuft are the exact same shade as those of my character's. I'm not stupid.

4) This doesn't really have much to do with art theft, but I have to say this: If you have a bad day and feel like insulting people, please stay out of my gallery. Come back when you feel better. I hate it when people behave like jerks and excuse their behavior with some of these explanations:

"It wasn't me, you idiot!!! It was my brother/sister/cousin/neighbor/hamster who wrote that!!!"
- Yeah... I almost do believe you.

"My grandmother/sister/father/other close relative just died."
- Excuse me... You just lost one of your family members, and you don't have anything else to do but to come to annoy me?

"I have autism and I can't control what I'm writing." OR "I have flu/stomach illness/some other disease, and it makes me so angry that I can't control what I'm writing."
- Ok, I'll find my way to your page next time I'm on my period.

Phew, I think that was all I had to say. I hope I didn't offend anyone too much. Haha, what am I thinking? The ones who could get offended won't even read this.
