When our cat was just a kitten and I was just a 7-year-old child, I tried to teach her to give paw. Just for fun. But she refused to learn - you know how cats are. So I gave up.
Months later, one night, I was crying because of some family issues. Our cat just came in my room, sat on my desk, looked me in the eyes, and put her paw on my hand. She just sat there and looked at me as if saying "Don't cry".
It's been around 14 years since this happened. She still gives paw only when trying to cheer someone up.
When I was six I used to have a cat and he'd sleep at the end of my bed all the time. Dogs are like that too because the dog I used to have would always sit near me when someone came to our house because I'm the youngest of the family. My dog I have now has been more affectionate than usual because I've been off school a lot because I'm ill. I love how animals just know things.
my cat bites toes and meows to cheer people up, her does that to get your attention and then purrs super loud and cuddles. It seems like he tries to snap me out of my depression when it acts up, and he only does that for me, but my brother's cat cuddles anyone who is sad, but only for a bit.
Well, that's just the wonder of animals, I guess. Like, our cat Oscar, he's really sweet, and he's such a mushpie. And he's really close to us, too. So usually he never sleeps away from us, and sometimes when we carry him 'bridal style' he always touches our cheeks with his paw as a sign of affection ^^
